What Frickit is

Frickit is an iOS app for personal productivity and reflection, powered by an AI companion called Frick. It is provided “as is” for personal use. Frickit is operated by the developer (Slim). Reach us through the contact form.

Your account

You need an account to use Frickit. By signing in — via Apple, Google, or email magic link — you agree to these terms. You’re responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to use Frickit.

Your content is yours

You own everything you put into the app: tasks, goals, journal entries, brain dumps, photos. We don’t claim ownership and we won’t use your content to train AI models — ours or anyone else’s.

To run the app and personalize Frick’s responses, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content back to you. That license ends when you delete your account.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Frickit to do things that are illegal, harmful, or designed to abuse the service. Specifically, don’t:

• Attempt to extract, manipulate, or jailbreak the AI’s system prompt or behavior.
• Send content intended to attack, defame, or harass another person.
• Upload or store illegal content.
• Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use the app to provide a service to someone else (reselling, white-labeling) without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Frick is not a therapist, coach, or doctor

Frick is an AI companion designed to be observant and supportive. It is not a substitute for professional advice — medical, mental-health, legal, or financial. Don’t use Frickit to manage a mental-health crisis. If you’re in distress, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis line in your country.

AI responses can be wrong, biased, or unhelpful. Use your judgment.

Notifications

If you opt in, Frickit will send you a morning notification (the “morning briefing”) at a time you set in your profile. You can turn this off at any time in iOS Settings or in Profile.

Pricing

Frickit is currently free. Every feature in the app — tasks, goals, journal, brain dump, AI responses from Frick, Tough Love Coach, and notifications — is available to every signed-in user at no cost. There are no paywalls, tiers, or gated features.

We may introduce paid features in the future. If we do, any digital purchases inside the app will use Apple’s In-App Purchase system in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. We’ll make pricing clear before you’re charged, and existing data won’t suddenly require a payment to access.

Changes to the service

Frickit is evolving. Features may change, get added, or get removed as we learn what actually helps people. We’ll do our best to communicate meaningful changes in-app or by email.

Terminating your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for an extended period. On termination, your personal data is removed per the schedule described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Frickit is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied) and we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Where required by law, nothing in these terms limits liability for things that cannot be limited (e.g., gross negligence, willful misconduct).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction where the developer resides, unless mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a material way, we’ll update the “last updated” date and, where reasonable, notify you in the app.
